DescriptionRectangular brown leather writing case with handle on top and engraved gold-plated clasp plate and escutcheon (a); case opens to reveal interior lined in green leather, with various pockets and compartments, ivory letter (k) opener in holder at center, and two lead pencils and one ink pen (h-j) in holders below flap; compartment with sliding lid is subdivided, with five metal pen nibs and a small gold key (aaaa) on one side, and green leather-covered rectangular dispenser containing a small glass inkwell ( l,m) on the other side; loose inside case are envelopes (y-mmm) , sheets of writing and blotting paper (o-x, nnn-uuu), a green leather folder (zzz) with folded sheets of white paper inside, and four book plates (vvv-yyy) in a modern envelope.Markingsstamped in gold: on inside of flap: ". . .
