DescriptionBronze struck medal with obverse showing allegorical head of France facing right, wearing Phrygian cap, with oak tree at left and distant view of Paris at right; legend above: "REBUPLIQUE FRANCAISE." Reverse depicts winged female figure of Fame with palm and laurel branch, supporting seated male figure with burning torch in left hand; date at right: "1900"; beneath is aerial view of exhibition grounds and rectangular tablet within laurel wreath, inscribed: "ECOLE COMMERCIALE/. PACKARD ."; legend above: "EXPOSITION . UNIVERSELLE . INTERNATIONALE . " Medal is inset into burgundy red square fitted leather case with gold-embossed cover and white silk satin and dark red silk velvet interior.
