DescriptionStruck bronze medal with obverse showing shield with open book, angle, and compasses and an eye above surrounded by stars and emitting rays of light upon shield. Shield is flanked by standing eagle, at left, and standing lion holdng sword, at right; clasped hands are below at center. Legend around field reads: "HOLLANDISCHE LOGE/STAAT VAN NIEUW YORK/5737." Inscription below shield within ornate banner reads: "DEUGD.ZY.UW CIERAAD." Reverse contains legend: "Fd. SEPT 20 as No.8, ORIGl WARnt STOLEN/FIRST MASTER JOHN MEYER" (around top) and "I.F.WOOD'S SERIES "D" no.4" (around bottom). Inscription at center within field reads: "REISd/A.L.5310,/BY G.L. OF N.Y./CHd TO No. 16/5819: 13, 5830:/8,5839:"
