DescriptionSilver ladle with a downturned pointed handle decorated along the obverse with matte finish and applied cast grapevine; handle reverse engraved with initial "D" in gothic script; bulbous reeded knop and ball handle socket; horizontal elliptical bowl with fluted and engraved heart-shaped base and engraved border; rattail drop at bowl reverse; maker's hallmarks stamped along underside of handle.
Markingsengraved: on the underside of the handle: "D" in gothic script stamped: on the underside of the stem: lion passant, anchor, "G" in gothic script, "STERLING" all incuse
