DescriptionBlack wool New York National Guard 7th Regiment medical officer's dress tailcoat with double collar and lapels, 2 black silk-covered plastic buttons at the stomach, each flanked by insignia buttons cast with the Great Seal, gold sleeve lacing, caduceus and single gold band around the wrists; lined with black twill-weave silk.
Markingscast: reverse of coat buttons: "DEFIANCE / 30"
