DescriptionRoughly square earthenware plate with slightly serpentine sides and scalloped corners; center with green transfer-printed image of battlefield with a line of soldiers on horseback on either side (those on the right bearing the American flag) and a solitary figure on horseback at the center; flower and scroll pattern on rim.
Markingstransfer printed: on obverse, below central image: "Surrender of Cornwallis" transfer printed: on reverse: "George Washington / Bicentenary / Memorial / Plates / 1732-1932 / First in War / First in Peace / First in the Hearts of His Countrymen" and "Crown Ducal / England"
