Sarah Hull was the eldest daughter of General William Hull (1753-1825) and Sarah (Fuller) Hull of Newton, Mass. Her father was a judge, state senator, and governor of the Michigan Territory (1805-12). She married John McKesson of New York on August 26, 1802.
