Travelers fortunate enough to be visiting Paris in the late 1880s witnessed the completion of the Eiffel Tower, while those who stayed at home could experience an overseas journey through Parker Brothers' popular travel game, Innocence Abroad. The game takes its title from Mark Twain's humorous travelogue The Innocents Abroad or the New Pilgrims' Progress (1869).
