Catharine Ludlow was the only daughter of Cary Ludlow and Hester (Lynsen) Ludlow of New York. In 1791 she was married to Jacob Morton and they occupied his family's home at 9 State Street. Her portrait was a gift to the New-York Historical Society from her great-granddaughter.
