This view of the New Haven Green shows Yale College Old Brick Row with the Athenaeum (First Chapel), South Middle College (Connecticut Hall), Connecticut Lyceum, and Second Chapel behind a rail fence on the left. The New Haven State House designed by Ithiel Town which stood near the corner of College and Elm Streets, appears to the right.
