DescriptionRectangular wooden box with domed, hinged lid, covered in black leather, with strips of red leather (with scallops) attached to edges with brass studs; at center of lid, brass handle in the shape of basket of fruit with ring attached; rectangular copper escutcheon and brass lock; inside of box covered with paper impressed with floral design, with soft texture, inside of lid covered with metallic paper impressed with floral design.
Markingswritten: in black ink on label affixed to bottom of box: "Aunt Annie's/little trunk she/had from childhood/I think was given her/by Aunt Elizabeth Waller"
