DescriptionSilver cake server with a threaded oval handle-end decorated with scroll border; handle-end also engraved with foliate script initials, "MGH"; spear shaped handle terminal at joint with blade ornamented with foliate drop; flat wedge-shaped blade decorated along surface of obverse with deeply engraved foliate scrolls and chevron piercings surrounding central floral motifscrolls decoration; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the blade.
Markingsengraved: on the handle: "MGH" in script stamped: on the underside of the blade: "A. E. W." in a rectangle
