This bolt is from the starboard rail of the U.S War Galley the 'Trumbull', sunk off of Fort Ticonderoga in 1777. The wreck is only visible in abnormally low water off of Lake Champlain. The bolt was taken by the donor in 1933. The bolt is bent from the action of the ice on the lake.
