DescriptionCast insignia ring with antiqued surface has circular face, molded graduated band, and faceted ovular blue (probably glass) stone. Ring ornamented in relief (along right) with heraldic arms of the Daughters of Charity: two hearts surmounted by crests of crown and cross, and rose, and “N.Y.C.” in circular frame, all surrounded by leaf fronds; and (along left) with cadeceus surrounded by beaded circular frame and leaf fronds; bezel framing stone embossed: “ST. VINCENT’S HOSPITAL - SCHOOL OF NURSING -”. Interior incised with maker’s mark, “DIEGES & CLUST” / “10 K”; and engraved “P. A. MALONEY”
