On June 13, 1927, New York City marked the return of aviator Charles Lindbergh, dubbed "Lucky Lindy," from his solo transatlantic flight with a ticker-tape parade. Businesses and attendees, who numbered more than four million, displayed signs, buttons, and banners emblazoned with "welcome home" in celebration.
DescriptionBlue felt souvenir pennant printed with an image of Charles Lindbergh along the hoist and the inscription, "CAPT. CHARLES A. LINDBERGH/ WELCOME HOME;" white felt hoist with green felt ties.
