DescriptionWrought silver card case with nine paper calling cards inside; rectangular body with rounded corners and scalloped sides; hinged lid with bezel; repoussé image of the Capitol Building, Washington, D.C. on one side and image of Washington's tomb on the other; images surrounded by foliate scrolls; repoussé banner engraved, "M. A. Dayton" in script above the Capitol building; maker's mark, "D" stamped on the bezel. Nine rectangular paper calling cards.
