Anna Hutton was the daughter of Benjamin Henry Hutton (ca. 1809-84), a merchant of Orange, New Jersey. She married Count Harold Theodor Karl Gregor of Moltke-Huitfeldt (1838-78), a Danish cavalry captain and military attaché at the Danish embassy in Paris, in 1860.
