Maria Antoinette Winthrop was the daughter of Thomas Charles Winthrop (1797-1873) and Georgiana (Kane) Winthrop. She was a descendant of John Winthrop, the first governor of Massachusetts. She married Henry Barclay Robinson of New York on January 3, 1855.
