These captain's shoulder straps were worn by Loren Wellington Tuller (1839-1914), who served as Lieutenant, Captain and Brevet Major with the 60th Regiment, New York State Volunteers, 1862-1865. Tuller was later a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and the Military Order of the Loyal Legion.
