DescriptionOlive drab wool serge single-breasted Signal Service short jacket; double collar with shallow lapels, "U.S." insignia on right corner of collar, torch with crossed semaphore Signal Service insignia on left corner; shoulder loops which button at the collar end; 5 buttons down the front, bottom has a fabric tab on the left which extends to the right and snaps closed, 2 breast pockets with flaps which button closed, diamond-shaped patch above right pocket with gold embroidered spread eagle against a circle; open sleeves with false cuffs which button closed with one button, left shoulder has insignia patch with blue star at the top and down-turned red lightning bolt, triple chevron patch beneath, patch at the wrist with a stack of 5 horizontal gold bars, right shoulder has triple chevron patch only, "OFFICIAL ARMY / PHOTOGRAPHER" patch at right wrist, above patch with crossed yellow branches; 2 panels at the back; coat and sleeves lined with olive drab twill-weave cotton, a horizontal slit pocket at each breast.Markingsembroidered: right wrist, on upper patch: "OFFICIAL U.S. ARMY / PHOTOGRAPHER"
