These jodhupurs were worn by Abel I. Smith when he served in Squadron A.
DescriptionMedium blue wool jodhpurs with 1 1/4" yellow stripe down the side of each leg; 6 button fly, top 2 button fasten from the interior, a tab to the left at the top which fastens to a button on the inside; 6 belt loops and 6 buttons around the waistband, right side slit watch pocket, vertical slit pockets at each hip behind the stripes, pockets button closed from the inside; 2 straps beneath the waistband at the back, straps buckle at the center to rectangular metal buckle with double-tongued chape; 3 buttons at the bottom of each calf; pockets and waistband lined with linen.Markingsimpressed: face of each button: "*BROOKS BROS.* / N.Y."
