DescriptionSilver plate saltcellar with a glass liner; shallow, bowl-shaped body curved to a flared lip; three cabriole legs applied to the base with cast shell junctures and pad feet; engraved with a lion's head erased on fess on the front center; circular, blue glass liner with straight sides; maker's marks stamped on the base.
Markingsstamped: on the base: crowned leopard's head in a shield, "A" in gothic script, two crossed keys in a cartouche
