The hair work bracelet is made in the Jacob's ladder pattern. The enameled gold clasp framed with arabesques surrounds a glass bezel containing woven hair from the two eldest daughters of United States Navy Commodore Henry Eagle and his wife.
DescriptionBrown hairwork bracelet with metal clasp fastener and safety clip at the center; Jacob's ladder design runs the length of the bracelet with spirals along both edges; the clasp is arabesque shaped with glass set in a bezel with woven hair beneath the glass, clasp is flanked on both sides by oval end fittings, the obverse is worked in reverse inlay with enamel in a foliate design; there is an inscription on the reverse of the clasp.
