DescriptionEngine plate made of heavy gauge copper with inscription engraved in large capital letters on obverse; oblong shape with straight sides and rounded corners, with holes at center top and center bottom for mounting; from the steamer "Hercules," built by Wood, Dialogue & Co., Camden, New Jersey, in 1876.
Markingsengraved: on obverse: "No. 163 1876 / WOOD, DIALOGUE & CO. / HERCULES / ENGINEERS / AND / STEAMSHIP / BUILDERS, / RIVER IRON WORKS. / CAMDEN, N.J."
