Segment from article in Hobbies magazine, July 1944, reads: "Many paper dolls are rare artistic creations as perfect as jewel-like miniatures, such as the hand-painted copy of Jenny Lind which Mrs. Earle Andrews exhibited. The Jenny Lind paper doll series published at the height of the famous singer's career in 1850 is famous as a museum item and Mrs. Andrews' copy is of the same period and a perfect artist made set."

DescriptionCut-out chromolithographed paper doll set representing Jenny Lind with operatic themed costumes mounted on paper board. Includes one female figure with arms crossed over her chest, ten costumes, with printed numbers cut out and pasted onto the back, representing characters or roles listed on inside of lid, and three hats with wigs attached; costumes include gowns, capes, uniform, shepherdess' crook, and concert dress, in various poses; in cardboard box with lithographed cover illustration of Jenny Lind in white and pink concert dress holding sheet music flanked by scrolls and cluster of instruments at bottom, in pink, green, and yellow within gilded cardboard frame; on inside of lid, lithographed illustration of Jenny Lind from just below waist, in yellow, red, blue, pink, and white, flanked by lists of names; fabric hinge attached to lid and box.
