This lambrequin was made by Mary Merritt (1854-1910), the mother of the donor.
DescriptionBurlap lambrequin trimmed with black velvet at the top edge and near the fringed bottom edge, the sides are hemmed; a row of diamond pattern runs across the center embroidered with wool in satin stitch interspersed with wool felt appliquéd flowers, the velvet strips are embroidered with herringbone and feather stitches in a geometric pattern.ClassificationsTEXTILES
