According to original accession records, this model was made to scale from the original Brewster Victoria carriage owned by the Lockman family. "Brewster" refers to the maker, Brewster & Company (New York City), while "victoria" specifies the type of vehicle.
DescriptionModel of black victoria with low-slung open body and folding hood; interior has padded seat and brown carpet; carriage is suspended on possibly platform springs in front, and elliptic springs in rear; leather driver's seat and seat-fall, possibly rubber composite attached to foot-board; low steps attached to mud-guards; four wheels with red trim.
