This is the old Dutch Church at Tarrytown, here better known as Sleepy Hollow. At the right Miller has included Carl's Mill on Pocantico Creek, of which the Society has an earlier watercolor rendering by Miller of 1851 (1951.417). The "Ben Bolt" of the inscription is a mid 19th century song.
