This collage is made up of notes and scribblings written down by Hilary North during the time she spent frantically researching the whereabouts and/or survival of her friends in the wake of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on September 11th, 2001. North was an employee of Aon Risk Services, located at 2 World Trade Center. On the morning of 9/11, she stopped to vote before heading to the office and consequently arrived late to work. Although she escaped harm, she lost about 60 friends and colleagues in the collapse of the Twin Towers. North spent the ten days following the collapse on the telephone feverishly trying to determine the status of her colleagues. She donated the Aon ID card and montage, which is made from over 19 pages of scribbled notes that North took between September 11 and 21, 2001, in memory of her lost colleagues.
DescriptionCollage with plastic Aon employee ID card, 19 pages of paper notes detailing the whereabouts of Aon employees after 9/11, and a St. Patrick's Cathedral memorial card dated September 24, 2001
