This ticket and neck strap was purchased by Jan Ramirez, director of the Museum division of the N-YHS, at several souvenir shops in the immediate vicinity of Times Square shortly after the first of the year. It represents one of the many types of souvenirs hawked to revelers in Times Square on New Year's Eve, 2000.

DescriptionRectangular plastic Times Square Millennium "Ticket" with an image of Times Square divided by the inscription, "2000/ Times Square" and a ball dropping on a wire on the obverse; inscribed, "NYC/ New Year's Eve" on the reverse; ticket attached to a metal key ring and clipped to a navy blue neck strap embroidered, "New Millennium 2000" three times with white thread.
