DescriptionWhite cotton duck single-breasted New York State militia coat with 2 1/4" closed stand-up collar (2 sets hooks and eyes); shoulder straps with metal buttons at the collar ends cast with New York State seal; 8 buttons down the front (hidden when buttoned), secured to coat by the shanks with wire coils on reverse; closed sleeves (no cuffs); shallow splie at the side seams; 4 panels at the back; unlined; 1 1/2" white lacing around collar, all outer edges.
MarkingsStamped on reverse of shoulder strap buttons: "RIDABOCK & CO. / N.Y."
