DescriptionHandwoven and embroidered wool pieced harlequin paisley shawl, in red, purple, black, green, white and blue; black lozenge in the center with boteh fonds protruding into the edges, flanked by asymmetrical design; one side has an arabesque of creeping root design filled with plant patterns; the other side has an arabesque with rinceau style boteh; strips of rinceau and arabesque border along selveged edges, pieced and embroidered arabesque patches border the fringed warp ends; one end has been reinforced with black cordouroy and has brass rings, converting the shawl into a wall hanging.Object NamePaisley shawl or wall hanging
