Frederick Will

Remarks: Frederick Will, a sargeant in Company C of the 20th Regiment of Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, was born around 1829 probably near Roxbury, Massachusetts. He enlisted at the age of thirty-two on July 18, 1861, and was captured by the Confederates at the Battle of Ball's Bluff, Virginia, on October 21, 1861. He was released in a prisoner exchange on November 26, 1864. He was discharged from service July 27, 1865, when the regiment was mustered out at the end of the Civil War.
