Jean Vache
Date: 1762 - 1833
Remarks: Jean Lazare Vaché came to New York in 1786, where he became known as John Vaché. Four years after his arrival, he became the first manufacturer of artificial flowers in the city, at 28 Liberty Street. He married Miss Marie Anne Thoret (1769-1835) of, Quebec, Canada. Their children were John B. Vache (1792-1813) and Alexander Felix Vache. Mr. Vache continued in that profession until 1827, when he moved to Newark, New Jersey.
