Joseph Stillwell
Date: 1739 - 1805
Remarks: Joseph was the only son of John Stillwell and Mercy (Burrowes) Stillwell of Middletown, New Jersey. He trained as a lawyer, fought in the local militia during the Revolutionary War, and was appointed to many public posts in Monmouth County, New Jersey. He served as a justice of the peace, and as a member of the assembly from 1786 to 1802. He married Mary Ogborne in 1761; they had three sons and daughters.
