Richard Sears

Remarks: Richard Sears was the son of Daniel Sears and Fear (Freeman) Sears of Chatham, Massachusetts. He was a farmer, landowner, and storekeeper in Chatham. In 1778, he married Miss Mehitable Marshall. The couple had six children. Mr. Sears became the county coroner, and a justice of the peace. He was a state representative between 1780 amd 1814, in addition, to serving as a state senator in 1804.
