Date: 1718 - 1790
Remarks: served in the Connecticut miltia during the Seven Years'/French and Indian War. Member of the Connecticut General Assembly after the Stamp Acts; One of the Founders of the Sons of Liberty; Planned and fought in the Battles of Bunker Hill and Long Island; a paralytic stroke during the War limited his military career. Putnam County, New York named for him.
