Leontine Marie
Date: ca.1795 - after 1844
Remarks: Leontine Arnaud was the youngest daughter of General Joseph Louis Arnaud, a planter of Santo Domingo, and Mary (Nicholson) Arnaud. After her father was assasinated during a native uprising, her mother moved the family to New York. In 1811, Miss Arnaud married Jean Baptiste Marie. The couple had nine children: Louise Marie, Matilda Marie, Leontine Marie, Camille Marie, Albin Marie, John B. Marie, Peter Marie (1825-1903), Joseph Marie, and Francis Marie. Mrs. Marie resided in at 83 Greenwich St. after her husband's death.
