Mrs. Arthur Curtiss James

Remarks: Harriet Eddy Parsons was the daughter of Sydenham Clark Parsons. With her husband, Arthur Curtiss James, she maintained four homes: Beacon Hill in Newport, Rhode Island; at Park Avenue and 69th Street in Manhattan; in Tarrytown, New York; and in Miami, Florida. Mrs. James was president of the board of managers of the Christodora Settlement House and vice-president of the board of the Lincoln School for Nurses. She was a supporter of the American Red Cross and of the YMCA and the YWCA. She had no children.
