Ann Hall

Remarks: Ann Hall was one of the first successful female miniaturist artists. She began her career in Connecticut around 1820. By 1826, she was living and working in New York. In 1828, she became an ssociate member of the National Academy of Design. Miss Hall gained full membership, in 1833, becoming one of the first women allowed to join.
