King of England George VI
Date: 1895 - 1952
Remarks: Initially second in line for the throne, George VI was crowned in May 1937, when his brother renounced the postition in order to marry the woman he loved. With Winston Churchill among his prime ministers, George VI ruled the nation during World War II. He toured the country visiting bombed cities and made frequent trips to visit soldiers on various fronts. He passed away in 1952, with his daughter Elizabeth succeeding him. -Source:
