King of England Edward VII
Date: 1841 - 1910
Remarks: Edward VII was known long before he took the throne for his interests and pleasures. A stout man, he ate five meals a day, in addition to smoking a number of cigars. He took pleasure in gambling, horse-racing, yachting and women, and also paid much attention to proper dress on himself and those around him. His mother, Victoria, found his behavior horrifying and blamed her son for the death of his father, Albert. Edward spoke a number of languages and toured the world on behalf of the royal family until he took the throne in 1901. He died of natural causes in 1910, after just nine years on the throne. -Source: http://www.historic-uk.com/HistoryUK/England-History/KingsandQueens.htm and http://bobcat.webappcabaret.net/royalist/execute/biog?person=699
