Cornelia Tappan Clinton

Remarks: Miss Clinton was the second daughter of Governor George Cllinton and Cornelia (Tappan) Clinton. In 1794 she was married to Edmond Charles Genet, a young diplomat who was appointed the first minister of the French republic to the United State in 1793. In the year of their marriage he purchased a samll farm on Long Island, and from 1800 they lived at Greenbush, a farm in Rensselaer County, New York. Thay had four sons and two daughters,
