Alfred Brennan

Remarks: Alfred Laurens Brennan began his career as an illustrator for a Cincinnati newspaper before going to Philadelphia where he studied under Thomas Eakins at the Pennsylvavaina Academy of Fine Arts. He came to New York around 1879 and enjoyed success as an illustrator of such periodicals as "Harpers's," Scribners," and "The Cenrury."
