Spiro Agnew

Remarks: Spiro Theodore Agnew served as Vice-President from 1969 to 1973, and was known for his attacks on opponents of the Vietnam War. Before being chosen as Nixon's 1968 running mate, Agnew was an army officer during World War II and also served as governor of Maryland. On October 10, 1973, Agnew resigned from office after pleading no contest to tax evasion. - Source: and
