This paperweight depicts the Rose Center for Earth and Space, a spherical planetarium enclosed in a mullionless 6-story cube with tension-supported glass curtain walls. Designed by James Stewart Polshek, the high-tech museum and planetarium facility opened in 2000. The paperweight was donated by Ellen V. Futter, president of the American Museum of Natural History since 1993.
