Description: Horizontal rectangular mourning embroidery worked in various colors of silk floss, chenille and paint on silk ground; a seated female figure writing something is depicted in paint on the lower left side, amongst trees and beside a stream with a waterfall, there is a structure (possibly a house) in the background, the sky, stream and a robin in a tree are painted; stitches include satin, couching, knots, and straight.
