Description: One of a series of 12 watercolor scenes depicting the route of Jim Hazen Hyde's four horse coach "Liberty" between New York and its terminus at Lakewood, New Jersey. The coach ran three times a week from the Holland house, at Fifth Avenue and 30th Street, NYC and the Hotel Laurel-In-The-Pines, Lakewood, a distance of 79 miles taking approximately 9 hours and utilizing up to eleven teams of horses.
