This needlework picture was embroidered by Eliza Anthony, daughter of Joseph Anthony (1762-1814) and Henrietta Hillegas. Her maternal grandfather, Michael Hillegas, was the first treasurer of the U.S. Her father was a silversmith who worked on Market Street in Philadelphia from 1783.
