Description: Navy blue wool double-breasted pea jacket with 4 1/4" double collar, 5 buttons down each side (not all buttons original) with vertical slit pockets next to bottom 2 buttons on each side, no cuffs on the sleeves; 2 panels on the back split at the bottom center; original buttons are black plastic, cast with fouled anchors; front pockets lined with tan corduroy, coat lined with black linen, horizontal slit pockets at the right breast and left hip.

This pea jacket was worn by H. Maxson Holloway when he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945. The Society also owns several other of Holloway's uniform articles.
